In mid to late 2012 I plan on going travelling around some of the Caribbean islands with my girlfriend. She recently started tracing some of her family history and found she has a number of family members in the Caribbean, New York and Canada. So we are both taking 2 months out and travelling around staying with her distant family members. I don’t really want to take cash on my trip so I am going to look for a universally accepted visa and have seen that Vanquis credit cards are a popular choice for travellers and so I may opt to go with them. I don’t really want the fuss of switching between cash in three different countries and so hopefully taking a credit card will be the sensible solution. It also means that there’s no risk of any of my money being stolen as the holiday is expensive in itself and I couldn’t afford to lose any money.
